Life at McKinley Park Care Center
Daily life at McKinley Park Care Center includes opportunities for connection, engagement, and meaningful experiences. Our amenities are fun and engaging, so every resident’s stay is comfortable and full of connection. Our post acute care center has a vibrant atmosphere with dynamic, individualized activities that match the capabilities and needs of residents and their guests.
We also have active resident and family councils and volunteer programs. Scheduled activities include music, fitness activities, religious meetings, outside entertainment, games, gardening, field trips and outings, and volunteer involvement. If you would like to arrange something special or have suggestions and ideas for activities, please inform our activities director. We welcome and encourage involvement from family and friends.
Activities
Our activities program includes a wide range of fun activities and programs to foster fun and connection in our community. Our activities department schedules musical performances, singing, current events updates, history discussions, fitness, stretching, movies, games, trivia, and entertainment. Residents can also enjoy field trips, outings, birthday parties, ice cream socials, special events, holiday celebrations, and other opportunities to connect.

Dining is an important part of daily life at McKinley Park Care Center. Meals support residents’ nutritional needs while providing regular opportunities for social connection. Our dining area is a welcoming space to gather for meals and socialize. We also have registered dietitians to make sure meals are planned not only for enjoyment but also to support healing and overall well-being. Special dietary needs and physician-ordered meal plans can be accommodated as part of each resident’s individualized care plan. Our team strives to create a positive dining experience where residents can enjoy nutritious meals in a comfortable and welcoming setting.

Our team advocates for residents by helping communicate needs, address concerns, and connect residents with appropriate resources and services.
Legal Assistance
Social services can assist with practical planning needs, including support related to establishing a Power of Attorney when appropriate.
Mental Health Services
Available services include psychosocial and psychiatric evaluations, and individual therapy based on each resident’s mental health needs.
